The Crossroads Renewal Project Aims to Transform Oklahoma City Mall into a Beautiful Center for Children and Families

Oklahoma City, OK - The recently established Christian nonprofit organization, Crossroads Renewal Project (CRP), has acquired the former Crossroads Mall with a vision to dedicate the space to the thriving of our community’s children. The CRP board is chaired by Chris Brewster, superintendent of Santa Fe South Schools, and includes Everardo Borunda, Tyler Green, Blair Humphreys, Reid Hebert, and Kim Swyden.

Santa Fe South Schools currently occupies two anchor stores within the mall, and SFS plans to acquire a third. Other schools seeking collaboration and the opportunity to share resources plan to move or open up new locations on site at Crossroads in the near future.

The CRP invites various essential service providers and businesses to bring their services to Crossroads. From healthcare facilities to education support services, government agencies, nonprofits, and local businesses, the CRP aims to cater to the everyday needs of the community, particularly the students and families in the nearby vicinity. The CRP has commitments for 100,000 square feet, with much more space available for lease. The organization has begun a feasibility study to determine the renovation schedule and pacing.

Chris Brewster expressed his gratitude for everyone who has supported this project so far stating, “Though we have crossed a finish line of sorts in this long-awaited acquisition, to us it feels that we’ve really crossed a starting line. Now we can run with this vision to transform this space. We can’t wait to see who joins us, and how their gifts will bless the thousands of children in our community.”
